Truth & Reconciliation in Canada, September 30th, is a time to reflect on the past, the present and the future of our First Nations Communities and to put into practice new and improved ways to deal with past wrongs.
"Flight" is a new pair of earrings that can be worn every day of the year to keep these ideals in mind.
$25.00 from each pair of earrings sold will be donated to The Indigenous Christian Fellowship of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. ICF is a Canadian urban ministry serving the spiritual and social needs of Indian and Metis people of Regina, Sask. https://icfregina.ca/
Hand stamped sterling silver feathers are the main focus of these earrings. Add to that three different lengths of chain with a fire opal orange Swarovski crystal dangling from the bottom of each chain. The earrings were given an oxidized finish to show off their details better.
*Materials - Sterling silver, Swarovski crystals, oxidized finish.
*Measurements - 3" long x 1/4" wide
Each pair of earrings ordered are hand crafted one at a time as ordered and will have slight variations in the stamped feathers. Delivery on these earrings will be 2-3 weeks depending on my work load.
*Oxidization is not completely permanent! The earrings will change in appearance over time, especially with daily wear. While it has received a chemical application of Liver of Sulfur as a surface treatment, it will wear off in the high areas over time causing a patina that is unique to the piece.
