Fight On - Sunflowers Of Life Gem Pendants
The Sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine and is presently one of the symbols of this war.
I wanted to incorporate sunflowers into this new collection so I purchased a sunflower pattern from a young lady who lives in Ukraine who sells her art work on ETSY via digital files. The design was then used to create this rolling mill plate and the plate then used to imprint the pattern into sheets of sterling silver that were then used to create the jewellery. The sunflowers are also incorporated into the tags that also come with your jewellery.
The petals are hand cut and then the flower is dapped to give it a slight curve. Then each pendant is bezel set with a semi-precious gem cabochon of either Citrine or London Blue Topaz, the colours of the flag of Ukraine.
The pendants can be ordered in a high shine or with an oxidized finish of grey/black or rainbow colours to show there details better. The oxidized rainbow colours are created randomly so there is no guarantee as to what colours will be achieved but they are always spectacular and a fun surprise. Pendants can be ordered alone or with a 20" sterling silver necklace chain. They can also be added as a charm to any bracelet upon request.
You can find matching earrings here on my website as well if you want to make a set.
40% of all sales will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine humanitarian Crisis appeal. http://www.redcross.ca
