King Charles III was crowned King of England this past May 6th and in honour of this event I decided to make a few commemorative pendants. One for my Mom, one for myself and then one extra just for you.
The pendant is made with 2 layers of sterling silver, top and bottom, with a middle layer of brass. The front of the pendant has King Charles new cypher
pierced into it and is flanked by hand stamped wheat sheafs symbolizing the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada where I live. The back side is stamped with the Kings name and date of his Coronation.
I left the oxidizing inside the pierced area letting some of the brass show through it. A symbol of over 1000 years of the tradition of Coronations. Some have been shiny and bright while others have been dark, but overall they are a living history that was enacted once again this past May 6th.
This pendant will come with a 30" sterling silver necklace chain.
*Materials: Sterling Silver, Brass, Oxidized, 20" Sterling Silver Necklace Chain
*Measurements: Pendant is 1 1/2' Across
*Oxidized finishes are not completely permanent! The pendant will change in appearance, especially with daily wear. While it has received a chemical application of Liver of Sulfur as a surface treatment, it will wear off in the high areas over time causing a patina that is unique to each piece.
All Roxanne Brown Jewellery items come gift wrapped and ready for gifting.
