She Is Me... We Are Her

Women have worked hard to get to where we are today. We have supported one another in our many endeavours and have achieved amazing things along the way.

This new brooch/pendant is in honour of those who came before us and as a promise to those yet to come. We are...Strength, Courage, Women.

As a part of the Reaching Back Collection, this new piece has been created with an original 1800's jewellery die. A design that has not seen the light of day in over 100 years.

As with all of the Reaching Back Collection, there are slight marks of time and age with in the design. I choose not to remove these details as they are an integral part of the designs history.

A 20 ton press was used to create this beautiful art nouveau face from flat sterling silver sheet. Her hair flows around her and a collection of flowers crown her head.  The backside was roll printed with an art nouveau pattern, stamped and then added to the backside of the face to create a hollow form.

The bottom dangle is a bezel set Rainbow Moonstone with a lovely flashing streak of blue. At the right angle you will even see flashes of orange and yellow. The backside has a bit of piercing to catch that blue flash there as well.

Twisted square wire was created and then used to attach the the top to the Moonstone.

The entire piece was given an oxidized finish to show off all of it's beautiful details. 

I added a brooch pin as well as a set of necklace bales on the back making this both a brooch and a necklace depending on your whim of the day. 

A 20" sterling silver necklace chain is included with this pendant. It will be high shine finished. Leave a note in the "Instruction To Seller" box when checking out if you want it to be oxidized to match the pendant.

*Measurements: 2 3/4" long x 1 5/16" wide at the top

*Oxidized finishes are not completely permanent! The colours will change in appearance, especially with daily wear. While your jewellery has received a chemical application of Liver of Sulfur as a surface treatment, it will wear off in the high areas over time causing a patina that is unique to each piece.
