A 20 ton press is used to press a piece of sterling silver into a die to create the flower top of these earrings.

Each backside is hand stamped with a variety of flowers and insects and each one is different than the other. They were then soldered to the front to create a hollow form.

In the middle of each flower is a bezel set handmade art glass lady bug cabochon that was created by glass artist Bea Stoltz (Germany)

Be adventurous and wear them both backwards or just one forward and 1 backward. 3 pairs of earring in one.

The final finish is an oxidized finish that reveals the finer details with in the designs.

There is also a matching pendant/necklace listed in this Reaching Back Category if you want to make it a set.

This necklace is part of the Reaching Back Collection. This Collection is about creating new pieces of jewellery with dies and designs from the late 1800's. Giving them life once again and saving the work of master carvers long gone.

*Oxidized finishes are not completely permanent! The colours will change in appearance, especially with daily wear. While your jewellery has received a chemical application of Liver of Sulfur as a surface treatment, it will wear off in the high areas over time causing a patina that is unique to each piece.

All Roxanne Brown Jewellery items come gift wrapped and ready for gifting.
