Our little family lived in Assiniboia Sask., from 1991 -1998. At the time I was a Scout Leader and as a Conservation Officer, my Husband Roger took us to some truly beautiful and unique places in his district. One of them being the Killdeer Badlands.
In the summer of 1996, after taking a trial hike into the Killdeer Badlands with two 11 year olds and a 15 year old during a 30c+ day, we returned to the Badlands with a group of 30 Cubs, Scouts and parents on a day long hike in September.
It really was a day to remember and although it was sunny and warm all that weekend, I know that when there are summer storms there, this is what it looks like.
This pendant is made of four layers of sterling silver riveted together. The top three layers are pierced and chased to create the the rounded clouds. The backside has a white tale deer running across the roll printed Saskatchewan farmlands making this a reversable pendant. Who hasn't seen this on a drive in the country side?

The pendant is finished with a beautiful dark and stormy oxidized colouring that defines the different layers and textures. There is a 22" sterling silver necklace chain included with the pendant.

*Materials: Sterling Silver, 22" Sterling Silver Necklace Chain, Oxidized

*Measurement: 1 7/8" square

*Oxidization is not completely permanent! The pendant will change in appearance over time, especially with daily wear. While it has received a chemical application of Liver of Sulfur as a surface treatment, it will wear off in the high areas over time causing a patina that is unique to the piece.
