A Heart Of The City Necklace
The lockdown of 2020 had everyone out walking and looking for hearts in their neighbours windows as a way to pass the time along the walk. The Heart Of The City began as my way of taking part in the hearts in the window campaign. Only mine were made of metal and hung in the tree in your yard, the hearts in the final photo.
I created these pendants with the same technique and style of the larger hearts so you can take your heart with you where ever you go. Made of sterling silver, these are miniature works of art to wear any or every day.
The Hollow Heart, the Flat Heart and the Winged Heart, each with it's own unique textures and features. Including a fully functional swivel bale with a tube set pink simulated gem stone set into it on the Winged Heart. The swivel allows you to show either side of the pendant without taking it off to turn around. They were then given an oxidized finish to show off all of the tiny details in each of them.

Hollow Heart: 1 3/16" long x 1 1/4" wide
Flat Heart: 1 3/4" long x 1 3/16" wide
Winged Heart: 1 1/2" long x 1 3/8" wide
*Oxidized finishes are not completely permanent! The pendants will change in appearance, especially with daily wear. While it has received a chemical application of Liver of Sulfur as a surface treatment, it will wear off in the high areas over time causing a patina that is unique to each piece.
Note: These pendants are not pink toned. The colour issues are due to reflections from items in the room during the photography.
