Hearts On A Wire Earrings

These pretty little puffed hearts were made from a burlap rolled strip of copper. The copper was cut into hearts, shaped and soldered together to create these sweet little hollow beads. I then set the hearts onto a sterling silver hoop where they now float freely around the hoop. The earrings are finished off with hand shaped sterling silver ear wires.

A final patina finish has created a colour range from deep brown around the edges to hints of pinks on the hearts while the sterling silver hoops took on golden tones with touches of pink and metallic blue on the ear wires.

*Materials: Sterling Silver, Copper, Oxidization

*Measuring 2 3/8" long and 1 3/8" wide across the hoop. 

*Oxidized finishes are not completely permanent! The earrings will change in appearance, especially with daily wear. While it has received a chemical application of Liver of Sulfur as a surface treatment, it will wear off in the high areas over time causing a patina that is unique to each piece.
